Emergency Broadband Benefit

In an effort to expand broadband internet access, the FCC has created the Emergency Broadband Benefit program to assist families. It will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service and a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers. The Emergency Broadband Benefit is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.

Beginning May 12th, families may enroll through an approved provider or by visiting GetEmergencyBroadband.org. Please keep in mind that the program will end once funds are exhausted, or six months after the Department of Health and Human Services declares an end to the pandemic, whichever comes first.
