Good Afternoon Warren Scholars, Families, and Staff,

We have some important information as we get closer to the start of the 23-24 school year.

The first day of school for all Warren students is one week from tomorrow, Thursday, July 27th. These first couple of days of school are just as important as any other, especially for learning new routines, creating relationships with teachers and peers, and achieving our target attendance goal, Strive for Less than 5 days missed. If your child does have to miss these first days or any day of school, please remember to contact your child’s school.

A link to the 2023-2024 school calendar can be found here. K-8 school supply lists are available on our district website, linked here

Thank you to all the students, parents and caregivers, and Warren staff who participated in our in-person registration yesterday. If you were not able to attend and still need to register your child for the 23-24 school year, you can register them online by visiting our enrollment/registration webpage linked here. Registration is required for all students, and by doing so, it gives parents and caregivers access to ParentVue, and it ensures our school staff has the most updated information on your child. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s school.

Starting early next week, Parents and caregivers can begin checking ParentVue to learn more about your child’s transportation pick-up and drop-off times, bus number, and bus stop location. Bus drivers will also contact parents/caregivers early next week with this information. If you do not receive a call or have a question regarding your child’s transportation, please call transportation at 317-532-2820 or visit our transportation webpage linked here. I also encourage you to download the MyStop App, which provides real-time updates on bus arrival times.

We are excited to host our annual Moorhead Community Resource Center Back to School Event tomorrow. Thursday, July 20th, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at MCRC located at 8400 East 10th Street. We have over 50 community organizations supporting this event with free school supplies, backpacks, games, food, face and nail painting, haircuts, resources, and more. For more information, please contact Courtney Modisette at Moorhead Community Resource Center.

MSD Warren Township, in partnership with the Indiana Immunization Coalition, will provide a clinic to accommodate immunizations required for school-age children on Wednesday, August 23rd, at Moorhead Community Resource Center from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Families are asked to pre-register for this event. The registration link for the immunization clinic is patients.vaxcare.com/registration. After clicking the link, enter the enrollment code IN65942, and select Warren Schools-8/23Linked here and below are the required immunizations for school-age children for the 23-24 school year.

We want to make the start of your child’s school year the best it can be. Please let us know if you have any questions or needs.
